Yesterday was a full day for me.
In the morning, John drove me to my 2nd and last day of the wedding cakes course at McCalls. The idea that I came up with for my cake was a garden themed wedding cake. I think it came out well, though I look forward to taking a gum paste flower course so I can take my cakes to another level. Having that knowledge would definitely take my cakes to the next level.
Below is a picture of my cake :
After cake decorating class, I went home and relaxed a bit. Later in the evening, I headed to Kerrie’s house for a bbq. It was nice having everyone together on a gorgeous (but sweltering…!) day. We had burgers, sausage, corn on the cob, pasta salad, chips, dip, and of course, a little drinky drinks to cool us off on a hot day.
While it ws a good time, I opted to head home a bit early. Well, it was 10pm, but I was the first one to leave. I definitely wanted to go out to be with my friends, but I also didn’t want to push it….I still had to go home, set my machine up, and connect myself. Today being Sunday, I also wanted to ensure that I got a full 8 hours of dialysis with enough time to get up, change my foreclean filter in the back of my machine, do a chemical heat and a chemical full disinfection, and still be able to go to church. Luckily I was able to achieve all of that!
